Ashley Martinez

Hello! My name is Ashley Martinez. I was born and raised in the city of Newburgh, NY, and currently attend 12th grade at the Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus. I have always loved learning new things, especially about nature, and have always wanted to give back to my community. Joining the EJ Fellowship Program will not only help me accomplish some of my goals but also teach me so many things that could help make the earth a better place. I believe it is very important to preserve the world’s natural resources. As Wendell Berry wrote, “The earth is what we all have in common, and as John F. Kennedy said, “...we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future." I believe we must preserve the earth for this and future generations

Hola! Mi nombre es Ashley Martinez. Nací y crecí en la ciudad de Newburgh, NY. Actualmente asisto a Newburgh Free Academy Main y estoy en el grado 12. Siempre me ha encantado aprender cosas nuevas, especialmente sobre la naturaleza. También siempre quise contribuir a mi comunidad, por lo que unirme al programa no solo me ayudará a lograr algunas de mis metas, sino que también me enseñará muchas cosas que podrían ayudar a hacer de la tierra un lugar mejor. Creo que es muy importante preservar los recursos naturales del mundo.
